Bacterial Vaginosis Cure

Bacterial Vaginosis Cure

Bacterial vaginosis is the most common cause of vaginal infection (vaginitis). The commonest symptom of BV is an abnormal vaginal discharge with an unpleasant fishy smell. However, half of all women with bacterial vaginosis don’t notice any symptoms.

Most cases of bacterial vaginosis occur in sexually active women between the ages of 15 and 44, especially after contact with a new partner. Condoms do not appear to provide protection, but use of spermicides increases bacterial vaginosis risk somewhat.

Although bacterial vaginosis appears to be associated with and triggered by sexual intercourse, it does not appear to be transmitted from one partner to another. Rather, it is a disordering of the chemical and biological balance of the normal flora.

Varicose Vein Treatment

Varicose Vein Treatment

Varicose veins are enlarged, twisted, painful superficial veins resulting from poorly functioning valves. Varicose veins usually occur in the veins of the legs, although it may occur elsewhere.

Treatment for varicose veins is usually conservative. It can involve being asked to avoid excess standing, elevate the legs when resting or sleeping, and to wear elastic support hose.

Varicose vein treatments may be requested to improve the appearance. E.g. surgery such as vein stripping and ligation (removal of the varicose vein), or sclerotherapy of veins (injecting with a solution that causes scarring, which closes the vein).
